Previous experience

 

Previous experience with the energy used in meat processing.  A major survey of UK meat processing plants that established targets for energy reduction and identified the causes for the large differences between plants.

 

Energy surveys of other food processing plants have lead to the development of portable equipment to measure refrigeration plant performance.  Use of this equipment is important in identifying deficiencies in refrigeration system design and operation.
