Applications for the food industry include models to predict food temperature in cooling, chilling, freezing, tempering and thawing processes, in storage and in transport.

Refrigeration applications include models for predicting temperatures in domestic and small commercial refrigerators, for use in the design and optimisation of the refrigerator circuits and cabinets and for predicting the performance of air cycle systems.
